KiteFest Alaska 2008

Summer Solstice. June 20, 2008.

This is an edited collection of images from the first annual Kitefest Alaska 2008. Myself and other Alaskan kiters have been building the kitesurfing scene in Alaska for about 10 years now. The culmination was this years KiteFest Alaska 2008. We hosted a kitesuring festival in Homer Alaska and had more than 75 people show up from arround Alaska and the world. The event was free for everyone. We taught classes and loaned out gear and got a ton of people into the sport for the first time.
